Event Sponsorship

Thank you for considering sponsorship of Palm Spring’s premier gay event, Mr. Palm Springs Leather 2008. The weekend brings together the GLBT and the general public to celebrate a worldwide, cultural fetish, with the intention to raise money for non-profits in the community, and honor a local individual that will reign for a year in Palm Springs representing our community.

Palm Springs Leather order of the Desert (PSLOD) is a non-profit organization celebrating over 10 years of community service in the Palm Springs area.  We have planned numerous events for this year’s four-day Leather Pride weekend, to be held November 6 – 9, 2008.  Highlights include a Leather Cocktail Party, coupled with an awards ceremony honoring individuals, businesses and non-profit organizations that serve our GLBT community; the Sunny Dunes Street Fair, a two-day street fair and vendor market with related entertainment; and the 2009 Mr. Palm Springs Leather Contest and Silent Auction, where local title holders will compete for a chance to represent Palm Springs at the International Mr. Leather Contest in Chicago in May 2009.

Palm Springs Leather weekend draws a large local, regional and international audience comprised primarily of men, aged 25 to 65, with high disposable incomes, non-discriminatory outlooks, and a penchant for coming together and socializing with other like-minded individuals.  Many of the participants are booking longer stays, and we anticipate this trend will continue with the growth and popularity of Leather Pride each year.
